Answer
To add a friend:
- Go to the Social Page
- Under the Friends tab click Search or Advanced Search
- Enter criteria such as the persons name
- Click the Search button
- After you find your friend in the search results, click "Add as friend"
- Enter some comments if you wish
- Click the "Add friend" button
- Read the message and click the "Close" button
